Chosen by companies all over the world, there’s nothing like Ariane for putting your satellites into orbit. The rocket has launched two-thirds of all the commercial satellites circulating over our heads. In 2006 alone the European superstar sent at least ten satellites into space!
The list is likely to get longer: in June 2007, at the Bourget Show (Ioonos has its own report and videos of the event), Arianespace ordered 35 new Ariane 5 ECA launchers from the European company EADS Astrium* in order to be able to carry out all the planned launches. These models can carry two satellites at the same time: they have a payload of ten tons!
