A Europe-wide competition
A Europe-wide competition is being held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the launch of Sputnik and the 10th anniversary of the Cassini-Huygens mission.
Send in your masterpiece before 31 October 2007:
- a photograph of one or several objects in the solar system, taken in 2007 (for amateur astronomers)
- a drawing/collage/etc. of one or several objects in the solar system (for children aged six to twelve)
- an artistic homage to the solar system: a video, painting, sculpture, etc. (for everyone).
The winners will be revealed on the fourth anniversary of the arrival of the Mars Express and the closest passage of Mars to Earth: 18 December 2007. The competition will take place in two stages: a national stage and then a European selection. There will be various prizes for the national winners in each country.
